The National Defense Force of Ethiopia (ENDF) today said it has found mass grave of TPLF leaders and fighters in an area called Chercher some 160 killometers South of the capital city of Tigray, Mekelle.

ENDF stated that 3-5 individuals are burred together within each of the dozens of mass graves it has found in eastern part of Chercher town. It is stated that each mass grave is given a unique code, according to ENDF. TPLF has buried the leaders in a hierarchy according to their position within the Front currently designated as a terrorist group by the Ethiopian Parliament.

While TPLF has buried 3-5 warriors together, it has buried separately the leaders giving each funeral a unique code, according to ENDF, which shared the news on its official social media page with over a dozen pictures.

In addition, the coffins of the top leaders of TPLF killed during the war are found within a cave, according to ENDF. It is recalled that after the TPLF attacked the military base of ENDF in Tigray in early November 2020, TPLF and ENDF has been fighting for about two years.

As a result, TPLF leaders such as Seyoum Mesfin former Foreign Minister of Ethiopia and former Ambassador of Ethiopia to China, as well as Abay Tsehaye, who was also minister of federal affairs and TPLF central committee member and several others were killed, while several were captured alive hiding in a cave.
